- Trea Turner was scratched from the Phillies starting lineup on Saturday with a lower back spasm. He told reporters postgame, including Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia, that his back locked up while fielding a groundball earlier in the afternoon. Turner revealed he dealt with hip discomfort late in spring training. He thinks it may have caused his back issue, which flared up after Thursday’s season opener.
