- Matt Strahm has not pitched in a Grapefruit League game since March 5. He is dealing with some inflammation in his left shoulder. An MRI revealed no structural damage, per MLB.com‘s Todd Zolecki. He will be shut down from throwing until at least Thursday. His status for Opening Day is unclear.
- Strahm has been remarkably healthy in his first two seasons with the Phillies. Issues with both knees plagued him earlier in his career.
