- Status: 10-day IL
- Hays was placed on the 10-day IL (retroactive to Sept. 2) on Sept. 5 with a kidney infection. Cal Stevenson was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take his spot on the roster.
- Rob Thomson told reporters in Milwaukee on Tuesday that Hays’ kidney infection is virtually gone. He’s now in the process of ramping back up to game shape. He did a workout on Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park and will meet the team in New York on Thursday.
