- Schwarber departed Tuesday’s win over the Tampa Bay Rays after sustaining a left elbow contusion diving back into first base on a back-pick attempt.
- The Phillies scratched Schwarber from Wednesday’s lineup after he was initially in it. Schwarber is feeling better, but manager Rob Thomson said “it’s still affecting his swing a little bit.” The expectation from Thomson is that Schwarber will be back in the lineup Friday against the New York Mets.
