Phillies Game 3 loss hinged on 6th inning chasing and Mets patience

For the first time all game, the Phillies had Sean Manaea on the ropes.

The red-hot side-arming lefty had given up some hard contact in the early innings but was otherwise mowing down Phillies hitters in much the same way he had plowed through pretty much everyone since his now much-talked-about arm slot adjustment that saw him put up a 3.09 ERA over his final 12 starts of the regular season, 11 of them Mets victories.

But in the 6th inning, Manaea was slated to face the top of the lineup for the third time.
