Phillies Future With Jeremy Hellickson in Question

The former AL Rookie of the year, Jeremy Hellickson has had an up and down season after joining the Phillies in an offseason trade.

Trade rumors have not been stirring around the 29-year-old as anticipated. As of late, the focus has turned towards his contract, which ends at the end of this season.

Hellickson carried a 4-4 mark on the season into tonight’s start against Toronto, with an ERA of 4.34 along with a 1.27 WHIP and 71 strikeouts across 13 starting assignments.

In tonight’s game, the righty lasted six innings, allowing five hits and walking three while striking out four Jays’ batters.
