Phillies falter again, lose to A.J. Burnett and Pirates

PHILADELPHIA — The Phillies own baseball's worst record and it's no coincidence that their team offense is just as bad in almost every single category.

Entering Tuesday, Philadelphia was last in runs scored (94), runs per game (2.85), on-base percentage (.284), slugging percentage (.333) and on-base plus slugging percentage (.616).

The Phillies didn't do much to improve on those numbers as they scored less than two runs for the 16th time in 34 games this season. The Pittsburgh Pirates used two muti-run home runs to earn a 7-2 win.

The Phillies have lost four straight and six of their last seven.
