Phillies fall to Braves as Nola allows two homers

Tyler Goeddel leaped against the wall in left field, but he never had a chance. The home run - the second yielded by Aaron Nola on an uncharacteristic Friday night - landed in the first row of the stands at Citizens Bank Park and a 7-1 loss to Atlanta was all but sealed.

The two-run home run by Nick Markakis in the seventh inning marked just the fourth time in 43 starts that Nola has allowed more than one homer in a game. Both of the pitches were four-seam fastballs that tailed over the heart of the plate.
