While the Phillies television broadcast team and the team on the field has been in flux for the past couple of seasons, one team remains the same. Radio play-by-play Scott Franzke has in many ways taken the reigns from the late Harry Kalas as the voice of summer in Philadelphia.
On Monday, the organization recognized Franzke’s contributions to the organization by signing him to a five-year contract extension.
Phillies’ Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Sales David Buck made the official announcement in a statement Monday morning.
Franzke will be entering his 12th season with the Phillies, and his 11th as the primary radio voice.
