On December 19th, 2014, Philadelphia Phillies’ fans had to say goodbye to their beloved starting shortstop, Jimmy Rollins. In his brilliant career, Rollins led the team on and off the field and was a pivotal part in the 2008 World Series Championship.
While many fans, like myself, miss Rollins on a daily basis, we must remember that players can not play at a high level for their whole career and it was time for J-Roll to move on.
In the trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Phillies acquired the 33rd overall pick in the 2012 MLB Amateur Draft, Zach Eflin.
