PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies will play the third game of their four-game series in St. Louis tonight.
The teams have split the first two match-ups. The Phillies opened things up on Monday with a 4-1 behind Cole Hamels. Then last night rookie RHP Severino Gonzalez was shelled in the MLB debut as the Phils lost 11-5.
Tonight Aaron Harang will get the call for Ryne Sandberg’s squad. The veteran right-hander has been outstanding here in the early going – 2-1 in four starts with a 1.37 ERA. He pitched eight shutout innings last time out against Atlanta, allowing just two hits.
