Phillies conclude 0-8 road trip with 19-3 loss

BALTIMORE - The first 1-2-3 inning delivered by a Phillies pitcher last night came from a rightfielder who was playing in Albuquerque a year earlier.

Jeff Francoeur, 31 and making his major league-pitching debut, struck out Nolan Reimold on three pitches en route to a perfect seventh. It wasn't just the first time a Phillies pitcher kept the Orioles off the bases all night - it was the first time they kept the home team off the scoreboard in seven innings, too.

There are no words to describe what happened in Baltimore last night, and you probably wouldn't want to read those words, just as you cringed if you did happen to tune in to the debacle at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
