Phillies Claim Pitcher Bobby LaFromboise From Los Angeles Angels

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies have claimed left-hander Bobby LaFromboise off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Vice President & General Manager Matt Klentak announced Friday.

LaFromboise, 29, appeared in 11 major league games last season for the Pittsburgh Pirates and posted a 1.13 ERA, allowing one earned run in 8.0 innings pitched. In 54 games for triple-A Indianapolis, he went 1-2 with a 2.98 ERA and held opposing hitters to a .206 batting average.
