Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported Thursday that the Phillies have avoided arbitration with Jerad Eickhoff and Hector Neris. Eickhoff will earn $975,000 while Neris will get $1.8 million.
MLB Trade Rumors projected that Neris would get $2 million and Eickhoff would get $1.7 million. Neris got a similar contract to what was projected, but Eickhoff’s actual contract was almost half as much as the projection.
Eickhoff made $568,000 in 2018 while Neris earned $582,500. Neris got a more significant jump as he played somewhat of a role with the team last year.
