It's not quite to the level of last year, but this Phillies season is beginning to look an awful lot like the previous one.
In a game where they actually jumped out to a 2-0 lead, the Phillies recent swoon continued with Friday's 10-2 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks before 19,282 at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies are now 30-38, which is still much better than their 23-45 mark after 68 games last year, but they are trending downward nevertheless.
It was their fourth consecutive loss and eighth in the last nine games.
What is interesting is that Arizona, a team that went on a wild offseason spending spree and was expected to be a contender, actually has a record (30-39) that is worse than the Phillies.
