The Phillies announced on Friday that the club’s top draft pick from last year, Aaron Nola, will be called up to make his big league debit on Tuesday, July 21st against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Drafted 7th overall last year out of LSU, Nola has been on the fast track to the big league. He is the first opening round draft pick to make his major league debut with the Phillies the year after he was drafted since Pat Combs in 1989.
