Phillies’ Alec Bohm named 2020 Rookie Of The Year finalist

There was finally some good news for Phillies fans on Monday. The 24-year-old was announced as a Rookie of The Year finalist after an exceptional season under peculiar circumstances.

Since the inception of the Major League Rookie of the Year award in 1947, the Philadelphia Phillies have had 4 players receive said honor. If this doesn’t highlight just how strong Bohm has been this season, I don’t know what will.

His .338 batting average was not only stellar but also historic for the Phillies. Only 2 ROTY’s have hit .338 or higher in their rookie season.
