Phillies reliever Daniel Stumpf finished up his 80 game PED suspension for the East German anabolic steroid dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (DHCMT), also known as oral turinabol.
Stumpf was a Rule 5 pick by the Phillies in 2016, and made three appearances out of the bullpen.
To make room for Stumpf, the Phillies optioned Severino Gonzalez back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Gonzalez appeared in 13.1 innings for the Phillies, and had 17 strikeouts and five earned runs allowed.
Reliever Mario Hollands, who is coming off of Tommy John surgery, was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.
