Odúbel Herrera (right oblique strain) has been activated from the injured list, according to the Phillies. He’ll be available to play Friday against the Brewers and should get a chance to start primarily against right-handed pitchers. In a corresponding move, Simón Muzziotti was optioned to Double-A Reading.
Herrera, 30, was re-signed to a one-year, $1.75 million deal during spring training. The original plan was to platoon him with Matt Vierling in center field, but the injury meant that he would start the season on the IL.
