The Phillies now have another bat to try to put out the dumpster fire that is their outfield. Cody Asche was activated from his rehab assignment on Thursday
Asche has been rehabbing in the minors, playing 15 games between the High-A Clearwater Threshers, AA Reading Fightin’ Phils, and the AAA Lehigh Valley IronPigs. He will be in the lineup tonight, batting sixth and playing left field.
Asche’s oblique injury has plagued him for more than three months, and he missed all of spring training.
