MLB’s international signing period opened on Wednesday. Some teams have already announced their full class of signings. The Phillies are not one of those teams.
As it turns out, the Phillies are trading some of their bonus pool money to the Los Angeles Dodgers, who need some extra cash after winning the Roki Sasaki sweepstakes.
The Phillies have acquired minor league outfielder Dylan Campbell from the Dodgers for international bonus pool money, the team announced Friday night. Teams are allowed to acquire additional international bonus pool money in increments of $250,000.
Campbell, 22 was a fourth-round pick of the Dodgers in the 2023 MLB Draft.
