Phillies Acquire Clay Buchholz for Josh Tobias

The Phillies now have approximately 15 starting pitchers on their 40 man roster as they acquire Clay Buchholz from the Red Sox in a salary dump. In return they send 2B Josh Tobias and $13.5 million in salary relief to Boston. Additionally the Phillies designated IF/OF Richie Shaffer for assignment to open up a spot on the 40 man roster.
