AARON NOLA remembers the Friday nights at "The Box" as if they were yesterday, because, well, it was nearly yesterday he called LSU's "electric" ballpark his home.
Nola was the ace of a Tigers team loaded with talent, a perennial College World Series entrant, playing in front of college baseball's best environment. LSU has led college baseball in attendance for an astounding 20 consecutive seasons, the last seven coming in their state-of-the-art facility, the new Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
"It's really electric over there," Nola said. "The fans are really close, on top of you on the field.
