Roster Highlights: Daniel Brito (2B), Jhailyn Ortiz (OF), Spencer Howard (SP)
It was a tale of two sample-sizes for Brito in 2017. Was he the guy we saw in April (.327/.377/.449 with 3 HR and 6 SB) or the guy from May – September (.215/.276/.281 with 3 HR and 6 SB)? I’m going to go out on a steady limb and say the true talent right now is somewhere in-between. Jhailyn Ortiz had a breakout season with Williamsport, slashing .302/.401/.560 with 8 HR and 5 stolen bases. He was even able to disprove critics and play and adequate right field (he has a cannon for an arm).
