While the internet debates the definition and merits of tanking, the Phillies acquired two experienced major league pitchers signaling that their rebuilding process goes beyond merely losing games and reaping the rewards provided by the CBA. Let's not get swept away in the signing of veterans, though; the Phillies as an organization will be very happy to lose a lot in 2016 and receive the draft picks, slot budgets, and international free agent budget that will come along with the losses.
