Offense carries Phillies to series-clinching win over Marlins

For the first time since Sept. 27-29, 2019, the Philadelphia Phillies have won a series against the Miami Marlins.

After winning the on a walk-off home run from J.T. Realmuto to start the day after Saturday’s game was suspended, the Phillies offense continued to churn. The Phillies are now 47-45 and remain two games behind the New York Mets for first place in the NL East.

The Phillies struck first in the bottom of the second inning. Ronald Torreyes singled and Luke Williams walked, and Wheeler bunted them to second.
