Reading outfielder Roman Quinn will not return to baseball this year for the regular season or the playoffs.
According to Phillies’ director of player development Joe Jordan, the 22-year-old switch hitter is progressing well after injuring his hip on June 12th and he could be available in time for Reading’s potential post-season run, but instead the organization prefers for Quinn to take things slowly, for his long term benefit.
Avoiding any rush to return, in an effort to help his team chase the Eastern League crown, the Phils’ brass prefers for him to prepare for winter ball later this year.
