Not today: Phillies 8, Rockies 4

The Phillies looked to be on the brink of losing back-to-back games for the first time since April 23rd-24th and their first series since April 3rd. Their offense sputtered through eight innings before exploding for six runs in the ninth to win 8-4. It was their season high for runs scored in an inning.

The ninth began with a walk by Brandon Marsh against lefty reliever Jalen Beeks. Rockies manager Bud Black then elected to replace Beeks with right hander Justin Lawrence. Edmundo Sosa greeted him with a triple down the line that scored Marsh from first and tied the game at 3-3.
