PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies ace Aaron Nola pitched another gem in a 4-3 victory over the Nationals on Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park.
The right-hander allowed five hits, one run, two walks and struck out eight in 7 2/3 innings as he improved to 10-2 with a 2.48 ERA. Phillies left fielder Rhys Hoskins hit a two-run home run to left field in the seventh inning to give the Phillies a three-run lead.
Seranthony Dominguez recorded the final two outs in the ninth inning to earn the save.
