LOS ANGELES -- Aaron Nola continued to build his reputation as a bona fide ace with a masterful performance Thursday afternoon in a 2-1 victory over the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
He allowed two hits, one run, one walk and struck out seven in seven innings to help the Phillies split the four-game series. Maikel Franco scored the game's first run in the second inning, although he never touched home plate. After the Dodgers tied the game with a run in the fifth, Jorge Alfaro doubled to score Scott Kingery in the seventh to hand the Phillies the lead.
