NEW YORK -- Brandon Nimmo's last walk-off home run came with Triple-A Las Vegas to end a 12-inning game in 2016. But current teammate Jay Bruce told him it only counts if you do it in the big leagues.
Problem solved.
Nimmo launched a pinch-hit, three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning and the New York Mets got another dominant outing from All-Star Jacob deGrom in a 3-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night.
It was New York's third game-ending homer in the last six days.
