News: Phils split Sunday games with Tigers, Orioles

Good morning! Some quick links:

PHILLIES SPLIT: The Phillies split their squads Sunday and then split those split-squad games. They beat the Tigers 8-5 (Freddy Galvis, Andres Blanco and Ryan Hanigan each had two hits; Michael Saunders and Rhys Hoskins homered) but lost to the Orioles 3-2 (Cameron Rupp hit a home run, and Chris Coghlan added an RBI hit).

More interesting were the pitching performances. Clay Buchholz was battered by the Tigers early (three innings, three hits, four runs), while Adam Morgan gave up a run and three hits in two and change. Meanwhile Nick Pivetta pitched well against Baltimore (three innings, three strikeouts, two hits), and Alec Asher cleaned him up with a solid three innings (one run allowed).
