PHILADELPHIA -- Jake Arrieta walked off the field to another ovation. Hector Neris headed to the dugout to a chorus of boos.
Neris gave up two home runs in the ninth inning as the Mets stunned the Phillies, who dropped a 3-1 decision at Citizens Bank Park on Friday. Michael Conforto crushed a 1-2 fastball from Neris to put the Mets ahead 2-1, and Devin Mesoraco followed with a shot on the next pitch to make matters worse for the Phillies' closer.
It was Neris' second blown save in less than a week.
