Multiple teams showing interest in Giles

PHILADELPHIA -- It seems more and more like Phillies closer Ken Giles will be a hot name this offseason.

The Phillies have received calls from multiple teams interested in Giles, who went 6-3 with a 1.80 ERA last season. His season included 15 saves in 17 opportunities after late July, when he replaced Jonathan Papelbon as the closer. Phillies general manager Matt Klentak said last week at the GM Meetings that "it's not a goal" to trade Giles, but he also acknowledged "we're trying to be opportunistic at every turn and trying not to operate in absolutes.
