So maybe Ryan Howard isn't so untradeable after all. The Philadelphia Phillies' cornerstone power hitter of the past is coming to the end of his contract, and the suitors may be lining up. According to John Perrotto of Today's Knuckleball, the Phillies "are getting feelers from teams now that his five-year, $125 million contract is nearing its end."
Howard has a batting average of .166 with a .224 OBP and has had to adjust to less playing time this season. The power is still there, however, despite the poor on-base numbers. The 36-year-old has 14 home runs in 217 at-bats.
