In a season filled with struggle and disappointment for Alec Bohm, the runner-up in last year’s National League Rookie of the Year voting has found some late success near the end of the minor-league season.
The 25-year-old put together a productive series in which he hit his first Triple-A home run last week, despite his Lehigh Valley IronPigs dropping four of five games against the Buffalo Bisons at Sahlen Field.
The IronPigs fell to 53-70 on the season with one series remaining. They’ll take on the visiting Worcester Red Sox for five games starting Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park, closing their season on Sunday afternoon.
