PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Seriously? How is something like this allowed to happen? Mets fans…you’ve gone too far this time.
If you don’t like the Phillies, leave the mascot alone. The Phanatic has clearly established himself as the best mascot in sports and these Mets fans seem to have no regard for his standing in the sports world.
The Mets and Phillies rivalry runs deep and surely there have been some tense interactions between the two franchises, but this was simply uncalled for.
Hopefully Phillies fans do not retaliate by dressing up Mr. Met in Phillies gear.
