The New York Mets announced their full season affiliate coaching staffs for the 2022 season. It was previously announced that Reid Brignac, who played 37 games for the Phillies in 2014, was promoted to manager of the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies after serving as manager of the Low-A Port St. Lucie Mets in 2021.
With Brignac’s promotion, he brought two of his 2021 coaches from Port St. Lucie with him. Former Phillies first baseman Tommy Joseph will serve as the Rumble Ponies hitting coach while Jerome Williams, who pitched for the Phillies from 2014 to 2015, will be the pitching coach.
