Lenny Dykstra needs new material

LENNY DYKSTRA is either the most honest ex-Phillie who ever lived. Or, he's full of crap.

On Tuesday, Nails told Fox's Colin Cowherd that while playing for the Phillies he blackmailed umpires during the 1993 season in which he led the majors in walks.

He also said that in 1990 - his second season with the Phightins - he began talking steroids prescribed by a "hillbilly doctor."

Lenny said that during '93 he hired private investigators to dig up information about umps that he could use to his advantage.

"I said, 'I need these umpires,' so what do I do?
