PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Remember when Chase Utley hit a walk-off single off of Billy Wagner to sweep the Mets in a four-game series back in 2007? Ah, the memories. Now, the guard is changing.
The first-placed Mets destroyed the last-placed Phillies last night 16-7, thanks to a franchise record 15 extra-base hits and eight home runs.
Of course, Mets fans eager for a post season run packed Citizens Bank Park and Phillies radio analyst Larry Andersen was annoyed.
“I’ll take the Nationals’ fans over the Mets’ fans,” Andersen said during the broadcast on SportsRadio 94WIP.
