LOS ANGELES -- Andrew Knapp got the silent treatment in the dugout Saturday night at Dodger Stadium.
But at least his family and friends cheered from the second deck behind home plate after he hit a solo home run to center field in the eighth inning. It was the first homer of Knapp's career.
Knapp hit a 0-2 splitter from Dodgers right-hander Chris Hatcher a projected 401 feet, according to Statcast™. The ball left his bat at 102 mph.
He circled the bases, touched home plate and returned to the dugout.
