ATLANTA -- Scott Kingery made his highly-anticipated Major League debut a memorable one Friday at SunTrust Park.
Kingery, the Phillies' No. 2 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, ripped a single to center field in the fourth inning for the first hit of what many believe will be a long and successful big league career. The ball left his bat at 108 mph, according to Statcast™. Kingery struck out against Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz in the second inning in his first Major League at-bat.
The 23-year-old infielder started at third base and hit sixth for the Phillies on Friday night.
