Well folks, the injury bug continues to bite the Phillies. Tuesday afternoon the team announced that catcher J.T. Realmuto has been placed on the 10-day IL (retro to 6/10) with right knee pain.
The Phils followed this up by saying Realmuto needs right knee meniscectomy surgery. In other words, he needs to have surgery on the meniscus in his right knee.
J.T. Realmuto will have surgery tomorrow to repair the meniscus in his right knee, the Phillies announced Tuesday. He will be placed on the injured list.
