DUNEDIN, Fla. - J.P. Crawford and Nick Williams - two of the Phillies' top prospects-saved their best performances of spring training for what will likely be their final Grapefruit League games before being sent to the minor leagues.
Crawford, the team's No. 1 prospect, went 2 for 2 with a two-run, bases-loaded single in an 8-2 win over Toronto on Saturday afternoon. He entered the game with just three hits. Williams, an outfielder, went 3 for 5 with an RBI double. The prospects will leave camp this week, when the Phillies assign them to minor-league spring training. Saturday ensured that they'll head to the minors on a good note.
