CHICAGO - The Phillies' hottest hitter is a 31-year-old outfielder who played for a team called the Chihuahuas after failing to win a major league job with any teams last spring.
Jeff Francoeur could find another new team before Friday's trade deadline, given the way he's scalded pitches since returning from his Atlanta home during the All-Star break.
With two outs in the 10th inning, Francoeur launched a two-run home run into the newly-renovated leftfield bleachers at Wrigley Field to give the Phillies a 5-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Friday afternoon.
The Phillies have won six of seven games since the All-Star break.
