Brandon Marsh is a good baseball player.
Since joining the Phillies at the 2022 trade deadline, Marsh ranks 14th in OPS (.798), 18th in fWAR (5.8), and 19th in wRC+ (120) among all MLB outfielders with at least 850 plate appearances over that span. In addition to his bat, Marsh plays average to above average defense in all three OF positions, though his glove has been at its best in left. All of those traits comfortably make him a top 25 outfielder in the game and a valuable piece for a contending team.
