The biggest question of the offseason for the Phillies has been answered.
With Jim Salisbury breaking the news and Todd Zolecki confirming it, Gabe Kapler is finished as Phillies’ manager after 2 years with the Phillies.
Kapler had a 161-163 record as the Phillies skipper. The manager was constantly a hot button topic in the Philadelphia media. Whether it was his use of analytics or lack of discipline for players, Kapler was the focal point.
Kapler inherited a flawed Phillies team coming out of a rebuild. He wasn’t able to take them to the playoffs, despite adding several All-Stars this past offseason.
