The Phillies lost 12-4 to the Brewers tonight, and I watched the entire thing.
It was not Vince Velasquez’s night. He got two quick outs in the top of the first, but after he walked the next two batters and then allowed a three-run homer, it became clear that had been nothing but luck.
The Brewers scored two more runs in the second, but the wheels really came off the wagon in the fourth inning. It was an offensive onslaught, with the Brewers plating six runs on three singles, two doubles, and a Ryan Braun home run — his second of the game.
