LOS ANGELES -- Rhys Hoskins knows it could have been worse, so in a sense he is fortunate.
Hoskins fouled a ball off his face in the ninth inning of Monday's 5-4 loss to the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. He showed up Tuesday with a swollen face and a bruised lip, but no stitches, no concussion, no missing teeth and no fractured jaw or nose.
"I thought a lot worse right off the bat, made sure I had all my teeth was the first thing I did.
