Cincinnati Reds Record 12-9 (.550) Third place in the National League Central
The calendar hasn’t even turned from April and yet the Phillies once more face off against their friends from Cincinnati. When last they met, the Reds took two of the three game series. The Phillies’ offense struggled to produce runs in the first and third meeting. And there was that whole thing where Connor Brogdon gave up a grand slam in the tenth inning.
This time around the Phillies appear to be in a much better place. While the Rockies and White Socks aren’t exactly practice squads, they seem to have gone a long way to helping the core of this team find their focus and exercise some proverbial demons.
